In 1995, the artwork of world renowned illustrator, Sue Todd, was featured on the front cover of the carnival's program. Her good friend and college roommate, Tracey Johnston-Aldworth (active on the carnival committee since 1990), asked if she would donate an illustration for the carnival. Sue was a huge fan of street and circus performers and eagerly created what would be the first of many illustrations for the carnival.
In fact, the carnival officially hired her to do their artwork in 2004 and she has been doing it ever since. She loves the challenge of coming up with something new each and every year. Sue also notes a special fondness for Waterloo since that's where she met her husband.
